Inspiriert von italienischen Giallo-Soundtracks, Library-Platten, Dark Wave, Progressive Rock und der Memphis Rap-Tape-Kultur, ist "Ether Ghost" eine Erkundung düsterer Klanglandschaften mit wechselnden Samples, Klangbildern und Tonhöhen.
Vom cineastischen Style des Eröffnungsstücks "You Better Sleep" mit heavy Drums, die die Hektik der Moderne widerspiegeln, bis zum post-industriellen Geist von "Iron Gate Sanctuary", trägt jedes Stück zu der unverwechselbaren und hypnotischen Stimmung des Albums bei. The Coffin" entfaltet sich mit einem kodeinhaltigen Bounce und dient als loderne Hymne auf unsere Zeit. Während des gesamten Albums manipuliert Block Barley filmische Sequenzen, indem er durch sich wiederholende Sounds, eine Spannungskurve erzeugt, was dann zum letzten Stück "Ether's Whisper" führt - ein ätherischer Aufguss von ambientartigen Vibes, die die vorherrschende düstere Atmosphäre gekonnt auflösen und die HörerInnen mit einer deepen und emotionalen Sound - Erfahrung beseelen.

This sonic journey through thirteen psyche-out tracks seamlessly fuses classic production methods with a contemporary edge.
